Grace provides a strengths-based counseling approach that focuses
on solutions to behavioral health needs. She collaborates with
the individual, couple or family to identify the problem areas,
overcome barriers and create changes that will provide the most
meaningful and effective results.
Grace believes that steps for
change start at the first session and continue to develop throughout
the counseling relationship
and beyond, as change is practiced and incorporated into daily
living. She encourages her clients to determine the starting point and path for therapy and her professional role is to provide insight,
guidance and support for her clients in a way that fosters growth
and promotes resolutions to the presenting problems.
Grace encourages on-going evaluation of both progress and barriers,
understanding that the needs of each person/family are unique and
will consistently be met with flexible and efficient services.
Grace
believes experiencing success through counseling is based upon
working together towards established, common goals. She also
believes support comes from a variety of sources. Therefore, she
helps her clients build and strengthen lasting, healthy connections
in their lives, wherever they can be found.
Grace respects the views, personal beliefs and individuality of all her clients. She encourages the sharing and incorporation of spiritual faith and cultural values, believing that all aspects of a person are important to the therapy process and should be equally included in the comprehensive exploration process.
Grace offers guidance to help clients heal from past trauma and create hope for the future that evolves from a more complete identity and sense of one’s self. She values self-determination, individuality and appreciation for a person’s talents. She demonstrates these values in her professional practice and in the community at large.
