Grace Weyrauch, MA, LPC, NCC
Grace is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified
Counselor. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Psychology at Ithaca
College and her Master's Degree in Counseling at the University
of New Mexico.
Grace has worked in the counseling field for over
13 years, providing behavioral health services to families,
couples and individuals.
She began working in this field in New Mexico, through inpatient,
outpatient and school settings, where she assisted children and
adolescents experiencing mental health difficulties. She also
provided services to families involved in the court system, worked
as a
Family Advocate and ran counseling groups for young mothers,
teenage girls and individuals recovering from substance abuse.
Later, Grace
applied her counseling work to the adoption field, where she
continued for over 4 years, first as an adoption counselor and
then as the
director of a non-profit adoption agency. Since this time she
has continued to work with adopted children, adoptive parents and
birthparents
in her clinical practice.
In more recent years, Grace shifted her focus to providing comprehensive treatment to individuals, couples and families throughout the greater Phoenix area. Before entering into private practice, Grace worked as an outpatient psychotherapist, as well as a Clinical Supervisor and Program Coordinator for a Scottsdale community behavioral health clinic.
Grace's dedication to serving the families of this community continues in her current private practice, where she has worked full-time for the last several years. Grace brings her extensive counseling background, her expansive therapeutic skills and her many years developing expertise to her current work. Grace’s approach is best described as collaborative and goal-directed. It is based upon providing objective feedback and alternative views to current struggles. She will offer analysis of problem areas, suggestions for methods of change and guidance along the path chosen by each individual person. In doing so, Grace is a partner and active participant in each step of the counseling process.
